It's always a good idea to call or email first to confirm availability. After your deposit and reservation form are received, you will receive a
confirmation of your reservation and a statement of your remaining balance and due date. Full payment is due 60 days before the start of your tour, and can be paid by check or credit card. You will also receive more detailed information on the trip, a list of suggested clothing and equipment, and directions for joining the tour.
To protect your investment in the event you need to cancel your tour, trip cancellation and travel insurance is highly recommended. The recent chaos caused by the Icelandic volcano is an ongoing reminder of how these unpleasant suprises are often out of our hands. It's affordable, and a smart addition to your tour. Buy trip insurance within 15 days of paying your deposit for extra coverages, including the option to buy "cancel for any reason" coverage.
ProtectAssist plans from Travel Guard have worked well for our tour members for years.
Trip Protector plans from Travel Insured, another industry leader, are very similar.
